The first couple’s event was held in February 2005 at the Village Lakes Clubhouse, Raleigh, NC with eight couples, the entertainment at this small intimate dinner was the spark that lead to future couples events so other couples could experience the same intimacy and love that comes from spending a special evening together. With the blessings of the God it has grown to over two hundred couples. Over the years live entertainment has included such guests as Brenda and Phil Nicholas, Marcus D. Whiley, David and Tamela Mann, Ruben Studdard, Yolanda Rabun, Ventriloquist Megan Piphus Peace, and Violinist Tamara Thomas to name a few. Couples come to the Burning Flame Couples Gala for many reasons. For some, it’s a time of re-commitment, focusing on each other. It is our hope that each couple leaves strengthened, encouraged, re-ignited, re-committed and refocused on their relationship. Each year, the Burning Flame identifies a population and sponsors couples to attend the annual event to provide an opportunity for them to enjoy the evening and forget about any crisis they may be facing. The 12th Annual Couples Gala will be held at The Hibiscus event center in Raleigh NC. This will be an intimate evening filled with entertainment and candlelight dinner. The cost is $175 per couple through November 28th and will increase to $200 until registrations close which is on Tuesday December 3rd.
